PLEYTO DENIES LINK TO DISCAYA COUPLE, VOWS COOPERATION WITH AMLC

Bulacan 6th District Representative Salvador Pleyto has denied any connection with the Discaya couple following remarks made by Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla regarding an alleged report from the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).

Pleyto clarified that there is no truth to allegations that he had received any “remittance” from Curlee and Sarah Discaya, stressing that such claims are baseless and unfounded.

In a statement, the lawmaker said he is prepared to fully cooperate with the AMLC and any concerned government agency to ensure transparency and to clear his name.

He also expressed understanding of the role of institutions tasked with uncovering the truth and said he remains confident that justice will prevail in the end.

Pleyto also urged the public to refrain from making premature conclusions or spreading unverified information that could lead to misinformation and unwarranted accusations.
