PNP REPORTS 12.86% DROP IN CRIME RATE IN NOVEMBER

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported a 12.86% drop in the country’s crime rate in November, with 2,615 incidents recorded compared to 3,001 in October.

According to the PNP, cases of rape fell by 35.27%, physical injury by 17.24%, murder by 14.18%, theft by 9.38%, and motorcycle carnapping by 2.37%.

Cybercrimes also decreased from 379 incidents in October to 311 in November, marking a 17.94% decline.

Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said, “The numbers are encouraging, but we won’t be complacent. We will continue to focus on targeted operations, visible police presence, and strong community partnerships.”
