RECTO, GO SWORN IN AS EXECUTIVE SECRETARY AND ACTING FINANCE CHIEF

Former Finance Secretary Ralph Recto and former Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick Go have officially taken their oaths as the new Executive Secretary and Acting Secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF), respectively.

Photos shared by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Wednesday, November 19, showed President Bongbong Marcos administering the oath.

The post read: “Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang panunumpa ni dating Department of Finance Secretary Ralph Recto bilang bagong Executive Secretary at ni dating Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick Go bilang Acting Secretary ng Department of Finance.”

Their appointment follows the simultaneous resignations of former Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and former Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman on Monday, November 17, which the President accepted.

This transition also comes as Ombudsman Boying Remulla is reportedly preparing to summon former PLLO Undersecretary Adrian Bersamin—grandnephew of Lucas Bersamin—and Pangandaman over an alleged “conspiracy to commit plunder.”
