Executive Secretary Ralph Recto reminded newly appointed officials that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expects urgency, integrity, and accountability in government service, emphasizing that delays and mediocrity have no place in public office.
Recto delivered the message during the oath-taking ceremony of around 40 new officials last Friday at the Premier Guest House, according to a social media post by the Office of the Executive Secretary on Tuesday.

“[The President] expects nothing less than excellence from each of you…. For his vision is clear: no more excuses, no more delays, no more mediocrity,” Recto said in his remarks, highlighting the administration’s focus on efficiency and high standards.
The ceremony was also attended by Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez, Philippine Coast Guard Commandant Ronnie Gil Gavan, and Bases Conversion and Development Authority President and CEO Joshua Bingcang.
The event formally welcomed the new officials who will assume key roles in the executive branch as the administration advances its governance and development agenda.
