President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday swore in veteran fiscal expert Rolando Toledo as acting secretary of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Malacañang said. Toledo replaced former Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman and took his oath on Tuesday.
“I thank President Bongbong Marcos for the trust he has placed in me. I take on this role fully aware of its weight, and I will repay his confidence with honest, tireless service for the Filipino people,” Toledo said.
A homegrown public servant, Toledo began his DBM career in 1987 as an Accounts Analyst under the then National Accounting Office and steadily rose through the ranks over nearly four decades, earning recognition for competence, dedication, and integrity.
A Certified Public Accountant, Toledo graduated from the University of the East, pursued advanced studies in Development Economics at the University of the Philippines School of Economics, and completed a Master in National Security Administration at the National Defense College of the Philippines in 2024.
