Senator Risa Hontiveros has been named the most trusted senator among those elected in the 2022 national elections, according to the latest Publicus Asia Pahayag Survey conducted from June 27 to 30 with 1,500 respondents nationwide.
The survey results show that Hontiveros garnered a 49% trust rating, placing her ahead of Senators Raffy Tulfo (46%) and Loren Legarda (42%).
Following them were Senators Alan Peter Cayetano (41%), Senate President Chiz Escudero (40%), Win Gatchalian (40%), Joel Villanueva (39%), and Migz Zubiri (38%).
Senators Robin Padilla (28%), Mark Villar (26%), and brothers JV Ejercito (26%) and Jinggoy Estrada (23%) were among the bottom of the list, each receiving below 30% in trust ratings.
Hontiveros led in trust rankings across Luzon, including Metro Manila, while Tulfo topped in the Visayas and Padilla in Mindanao.
Analysts point to Hontiveros’ bold stance on the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte as a key factor in her rising popularity and trust among Filipino voters.
