Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson has suggested that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. consider resigning amid ongoing reports of corruption within his administration.
In an interview, Singson told Marcos that stepping down would be preferable to avoid a fate similar to that of his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., who was ousted during the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.
He added, “Mas maganda, mas honorable kung mag-resign.
Singson, previously accused by journalist Ramon Tulfo of allegedly financing a plot to destabilize the government, denied the claims in the same interview.
He had earlier stated his willingness to face imprisonment if all accusations against him prove true.
