Public confidence in President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte has declined, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted in September 2025.
The poll, commissioned by Stratbase, showed that 43% of respondents expressed “much trust” in Marcos — down from 48% in June. Meanwhile, 36% said they had “little trust,” and 21% were undecided.
For Vice President Duterte, trust ratings also slipped, with 53% expressing “much trust,” compared to 61% in June. Around 28% reported “little trust,” while 18% remained undecided.
The nationwide survey was conducted from September 24 to 30, covering 1,500 respondents, and has a ±3% margin of error.
The results came just days after two major protest events — the “Baha sa Luneta” and “The Trillion Peso March” at the EDSA People Power Monument — both held on September 21, coinciding with the 53rd anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law by former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., the father of the incumbent president.
