TIGHT RACE FOR VICE PRESIDENCY SEEN IN 2028 SURVEY

A new nationwide survey suggests the contest for the vice presidency in the 2028 elections is shaping up to be highly competitive, with several candidates clustered at the top and a large portion of voters still undecided.

Research firm WR Numero conducted the poll from March 10 to 17 among 1,455 respondents, with a margin of error of ±3%.

Results show Senator Bong Go narrowly leading with 12.2% voter preference. Former Senator Grace Poe follows closely at 11.9%, while Senator Robin Padilla is just behind at 11.7%.

Other notable figures in the race include Senate Deputy Minority Leader Rodante Marcoleta (8.4%), Senate Deputy Majority Leader Risa Hontiveros (5.9%), Senator Chiz Escudero (5%), Senator Kiko Pangilinan (5%), President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. (3.6%), and Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso (3.5%).

Further down the list are Senator Bam Aquino (1.9%), Senator Imee Marcos (1.9%), Senator Win Gatchalian (0.7%), Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon (0.6%), Education Secretary Sonny Angara (0.5%), and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong (0.4%).

Significantly, 26.8% of respondents said they remain undecided, underscoring that the race for the country’s second-highest post is still wide open.
