TRAFFIC ADVISORY ISSUED FOR “TRILLION PESO MARCH 3” RALLY

Authorities have released a traffic advisory ahead of the “Trillion Peso March 3” rally set for Wednesday, February 25, near the EDSA People Power Monument.

Heavy traffic is anticipated beginning 8 a.m. along key routes such as EDSA, Katipunan Avenue, Ortigas Avenue, White Plains Avenue, and Temple Drive.

White Plains Avenue will be closed to motorists starting 6 a.m. on the day of the rally. A zipper lane scheme will also be enforced along White Plains Avenue between EDSA and Katipunan Avenue from 9 p.m. on February 24 until 6 a.m. on February 25.

The demonstration is being organized by Caritas Philippines in partnership with several civil society groups.

Authorities have designated the following parking areas for participants:

  • Temple Drive up to Giraffe Street (light vehicles)
  • Bonny Serrano Avenue eastbound (one-side bus parking)
  • 18th Avenue and 20th Avenue (buses and light vehicles)
  • EDSA from the People Power Monument up to GHQ Gate 3 (friendly forces parking)

Traffic personnel from the Quezon City Police District, the MMDA, and other local agencies will be deployed to manage vehicle flow and ensure order during the event.

Motorists are advised to plan their trips ahead and allow extra travel time to avoid delays.
