TYPHOON TINO DEATH TOLL RISES TO 114 — NDRRMC

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that the death toll from Typhoon Tino has increased to 114, with most fatalities recorded in Cebu (71). The figures remain under validation.

Other reported deaths include 18 in Negros Occidental, 12 in Negros Oriental, six in Agusan del Sur, two in Southern Leyte, and one each in Antique, Bohol, Capiz, Iloilo, and Leyte.

Authorities are still verifying the causes of death, while 127 people remain missing, mostly from Cebu and Negros Occidental.

The NDRRMC also recorded 82 injured individuals and confirmed that over 544,000 families, or 1.95 million people, have been affected in more than 5,000 barangays across eight regions.

Currently, around 127,000 families are staying in 4,933 evacuation centers, while 36,000 others are being assisted outside.
