Vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy will be deported to Russia following the completion of his sentence for harassment-related offenses in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla confirmed the move, noting that Zdorovetskiy remains a Russian citizen under Philippine immigration rules despite holding a U.S. green card.
“He has served his time, shown remorse, and is now a free man when he returns to Russia,” Remulla said.
Authorities said Zdorovetskiy is scheduled to leave within the week on a flight via Kalibo, Aklan, bound for Moscow.
The Bureau of Immigration has already issued a deportation order, with final clearances from the National Bureau of Investigation and the courts pending.
Zdorovetskiy was arrested last year for filming prank videos involving Filipino civilians, which allegedly included harassment, recording without consent, and vlogging in BGC without a permit.
Remulla underscored the importance of respecting local laws: “Let this be a reminder to all our visitors here in the Philippines that while we welcome tourists and treat them with respect, we also expect them to follow our laws.”
