VP SARA DENIES INVOLVEMENT IN ALLEGED DESTABILIZATION PLOT

Vice President Sara Duterte dismissed allegations that she is a possible financier of a reported destabilization plot against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., calling the claims “gossip.”

Former columnist Ramon Tulfo had listed Duterte, Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson as allegedly being “watched” by the government for involvement in destabilization efforts.

Malacañang said Tulfo’s list has been forwarded to the Armed Forces of the Philippines for validation. Authorities have yet to confirm if any individuals on the list violated laws.

Duterte earlier maintained there have been no calls, to her knowledge, to destabilize the government amid ongoing anti-corruption protests.
