Vice President Sara Duterte personally attended a Filipino community event in Singapore to spend time with overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Videos posted by her supporters on Facebook showed the Vice President at the celebration, where she was joined by Senator Robin Padilla, Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Atty. Jimmy Bondoc, Atty. Jayvee Hinlo, and Dr. Richard Mata.
Rodriguez, Bondoc, Hinlo, and Mata were all part of the “DuterTEN” senatorial slate under PDP-Laban during the 2025 midterm elections but failed to secure Senate seats. Padilla served as their campaign manager during that time.
The event, organized by SingPhil Events and Services LLP, was held on Saturday, October 25, in celebration of the group’s 10th anniversary. As part of the festivities, VP Sara performed her own rendition of Bon Jovi’s “Bed of Roses,” which drew cheers and applause from the audience.
A day earlier, on Friday, October 24, the Vice President also took part in a film forum at the NDM Expo in Singapore.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) clarified that “all the travel overseas of the Vice President is covered by a travel authority and did not use any public funds.”
