VP SARA LEADS EARLY 2028 POLL; ROBREDO TRAILS

A recent pre-election survey suggests Vice President Sara Duterte and former Vice President Leni Robredo could emerge as strong contenders in the 2028 presidential race.

The poll, conducted by Tangere on February 19–20 via mobile interviews, showed Duterte leading with 43% voter preference, a day after she formally declared her presidential bid.

Robredo ranked second at 27%, despite stating that a 2028 run is not yet on her agenda.

Senator Raffy Tulfo placed third with 15%, though his brother Senator Erwin Tulfo said Raffy prefers to seek reelection for a second Senate term rather than pursue the presidency.

While the elections are still years away, Duterte’s formal declaration and Robredo’s public visibility signal that the contest could heat up early, with the survey hinting at potential frontrunners.
