Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday said accessing her Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) is not difficult, following Akbayan’s request to the Ombudsman for her records.
Last week, Akbayan requested the SALNs of Duterte, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., former Ombudsman Samuel Martires and other constitutional commission officials to investigate possible unexplained wealth.
Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla recently issued a memorandum easing public access to SALNs, reversing a 2020 circular under Martires that required written, notarized consent from officials for release.
