Former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co may have more explosive evidence to share, his lawyer Atty. Ruy Rondain confirmed Thursday, saying Co has another video and signed receipts he plans to present in due course.
“I did hear that he said mayroon pang susunod,” Rondain said, adding that Co is willing to place his accusations under oath, though not necessarily in the Philippines.
Rondain admitted he was surprised by Co’s viral three-part exposé implicating President Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez in the government flood control scandal.
“I got a call and… a text and it said ‘uploading right now.’ I checked, and it was ongoing… I found out two seconds before you did,” he recounted.
He noted that the videos may have provided Co emotional relief: “I think it was a good thing because it gave him some catharsis.”
Rondain also expressed embarrassment over the timing, which coincided with a Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing and an upcoming Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) rally.
He clarified that his trip to Japan was unrelated to Co, dismissing rumors of a secret meeting: “If he was in Japan, I didn’t know. He wasn’t with me.”
Rondain previously informed Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson that Co was undergoing medical treatment abroad.
