A recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey reveals that 4 out of 10 Filipinos (42%) are not in favor of pushing through with the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
The nationwide survey, conducted from June 25 to 29, found that only 32% of respondents support the trial, while 19% remain undecided.

The remaining 7% said they are not familiar with the details of the impeachment case.
Support for Duterte’s impeachment trial was strongest in Metro Manila (44%) and Balance Luzon (40%).
Meanwhile, Visayas (46%) and Mindanao (65%)—considered Duterte strongholds—showed higher opposition to the proceedings.
The survey also found that 44% of Filipinos believe the Senate is delaying the impeachment trial, following its decision to return the Articles of Impeachment to the House of Representatives.
When asked about their awareness of the case, 59% said they were familiar with it, while 41% admitted they only learned about it through the SWS survey itself.
