Quezon City 1st District Representative Arjo Atayde and Eat Bulaga! host-actress Maine Mendoza appeared together at a private family gathering, seemingly putting to rest speculation that the couple had separated.
Photos posted by Arjo’s mother, actress Sylvia Sanchez, showed the pair side by side during the Atayde family event, which also included Arjo’s sister Ria Atayde and her husband, actor Zanjoe Marudo.
Rumors of a breakup had circulated after Mendoza was absent from several recent family occasions, including a now-deleted video shared by comedian Bayani Agbayani, a close friend of the Ataydes.
The speculation came amid controversy linking Atayde to alleged kickbacks from questionable flood control projects, accusations made by government contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya. Atayde denied the claims, and Mendoza publicly defended him.
The couple’s latest public appearance together suggests they remain united despite both political and personal challenges.
