Singer-actress Belle Mariano has spoken candidly about her admiration for her on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan, describing him as a “blessing” in her life and emphasizing the closeness they share both on and off screen.
“I would say he is a person I can call whenever I’m feeling down. Talagang he is a blessing, not just to me but also to our supporters,” Mariano said in a recent interview.
She recalled how their relationship evolved from initial shyness into a strong and trusting connection.
“Noong una, nahihiya akong kausapin siya (but) we are so close now. He is the person I can confide in. He is someone accountable. He is a blessing in a way, na I wouldn’t be here without him too, and our supporters too,” she added.
Mariano also underscored the significance of their popular pairing, known as DonBelle.
“DonBelle is not DonBelle without Donny. So, he really is a blessing. With our connection, we are really close. Ano naman kami, open naman. He is really someone special to me,” she said.
The duo first starred together in the 2021 digital series He’s Into Her and are currently filming their comeback movie Tayo sa Wakas, which is set for theatrical release on May 27.
Their partnership has also extended beyond the screen, with Donny recently defending Belle against negative narratives online, further solidifying their bond.
