The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on Friday began printing ballots and accountable forms for the upcoming special elections in Antipolo’s 2nd District scheduled next month.
A total of 252,793 ballots will be produced at the National Printing Office for the manual elections set on March 14. Test prints started at 8 a.m., with official printing commencing at 9 a.m.
“The COMELEC assures the public of a transparent and secure printing process to maintain the integrity of the specialized electoral exercise,” the poll body said in a statement.
“Observers and members of the press are invited to monitor the proceedings at the NPO facility as the Comelec adheres to its strict timeline for the March 14 polls.”
COMELEC aims to complete the printing of all ballots within the day. Chairperson George Erwin Garcia was not present due to prior commitments in Iloilo.
The special elections were called to fill the congressional seat left vacant after the death of former Representative Romeo Acop in December 2025.
