EXO SETS PH RETURN WITH JULY CONCERTS

After nearly seven years, K-pop boy band EXO is set to return to the Philippines for a full-group concert as part of its first tour since completing mandatory military service.

The group announced on X that it will launch its sixth concert tour, titled “EXO Planet #6 – EXhOrizon,” which includes a two-day stop in Manila. The shows are scheduled for July 4 and 5 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, based on the tour dates released online.

The tour will begin with a three-day concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul before traveling to other cities across Asia. Local promoter PULP Live World also reposted the announcement, indicating it will handle the Manila leg.

EXO last performed in the Philippines in August 2019 for “EXO Planet #5 – The EXplOration,” though only six members joined due to military service and individual commitments. A planned return in February 2020 for a brand-sponsored fan meeting was later canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“EXhOrizon” marks EXO’s first group tour since all members completed military duty and follows the release of the group’s eighth album, “REVERXE.”

Only six members participated in the album amid an ongoing contract dispute involving Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin with SM Entertainment.

Debuting in 2012, EXO remains one of K-pop’s most influential groups, known for hits such as “Growl,” “Monster,” “Ko Ko Bop,” “Love Shot,” and “The First Snow.”

The members have also maintained active solo careers in music and acting.
