After months of speculation, it was finally confirmed on September 18 that Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have officially parted ways.
In a joint statement released by Star Magic and VIVA Artists Agency, the talent agencies handling Anderson and Barretto’s careers, it was revealed that the decision to end their relationship was mutual.
The agencies further appealed to the public to respect their decision and to refrain from spreading false information.
Gerald and Julia also extended their gratitude to their fans and friends for the unwavering support they have received throughout their relationship.
Rumors of a breakup had been circulating as early as June, though Gerald denied the split in an interview with ABS-CBN’s news magazine show “Tao Po!”
It was in March 2021 when Gerald and Julia went public with their romance, following Anderson’s highly publicized breakup with Bea Alonzo, as well as Barretto’s separation from former boyfriend Joshua Garcia.
