K-pop star Heeseung is parting ways with ENHYPEN, the group’s label Belift Lab announced Tuesday, citing the artist’s “distinct musical vision” after extensive discussions with the members.
Belift Lab emphasized that the decision came after “extensive deliberation,” and assured fans that ENHYPEN will continue as a six-member group with Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.
Heeseung, however, will remain under Belift Lab and is preparing for a solo album.
On Weverse, the 24-year-old idol shared a handwritten letter thanking his bandmates and ENGENE fans:
“The six years I’ve spent have been filled with moments so overwhelming and precious that it’s hard to fully put them into words… I will never forget those moments, and I want to continue being someone who supports ENHYPEN more than anyone else.”
He added that he is “working hard to prepare” for his solo debut and promised to greet fans with “a better version” of himself.
Since debuting in November 2020 through the survival show I-LAND, Heeseung helped shape ENHYPEN’s signature vampire-themed concept that captured a global audience.
The group’s most recent comeback was in January with the extended play THE SIN : VANISH.
