ISKO MORENO, JOEL CHUA BURY POLITICAL FEUD FOR MANILA’S SAKE

After months of sharp words and public jabs, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso and Manila 3rd District Rep. Joel Chua now appear ready to put their feud behind them.

On his official Facebook page, Domagoso shared photos of himself with Chua during a meeting at the House of Representatives. They were joined by other Manila lawmakers—1st District Rep. Ernix Dionisio, 4th District Rep. Giselle Maceda, and 5th District Rep. Irwin Tieng.

According to Domagoso, the meeting with four of Manila’s six congressmen focused on aligning initiatives for the capital’s development.

Chua, for his part, said he preferred to put the rift with Domagoso to rest for the sake of his constituents.

The reconciliation comes years after Domagoso and Chua—once allies under the Asenso Manileño local party—broke ties. Their falling out began when Domagoso ran against then-Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna in the 2025 elections, a move Chua described as a betrayal.
