The Manila City Government has confirmed that the official social media accounts of the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) have been successfully restored.
In a post on its official Facebook page, the MPIO announced that the account is now back under the management of City Public Information Officer E-jhay Clamor Talagtag.

“The Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) Facebook Page has been fully recovered and is now operational. It is currently being managed by the newly formed MPIO team, led by our City Public Information Officer, E-jhay Clamor Talagtag, under the strong and hands-on leadership of Mayor Francisco ‘Isko’ Moreno Domagoso,” the statement read.
The office also emphasized its renewed mission:
“The Manila PIO team is committed to providing timely, accurate, and transparent updates to better serve the Manileños and the Filipino people.”
Notably, the art card accompanying the announcement featured the phrase “Marked Safe from Hostage-takers”—a pointed remark seemingly aimed at the MPIO’s previous management under former Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna’s administration.
The camp of Lacuna has yet to respond to the statement.
