Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso on Monday, November 17, officially announced the release of ₱317 million in year-end bonuses and cash gifts for regular employees of the Manila City Hall.
Speaking at the city’s flag-raising ceremony, Domagoso said the allocation covers a one-month year-end bonus and a ₱5,000 cash gift for all qualified personnel, including staff in legislative offices.
He also directed OIC-City Treasurer Atty. Paul Vega to expedite the payout and ensure that the benefits are credited to employees’ bank accounts within the day.
“This morning, na-achieve natin ‘yong ating obligasyon, that’s why I ordered Atty. Paul Vega, our City Treasurer’s Office, to release this afternoon, ₱317,014,291.84 [or] ₱317 million worth of year-end bonus. Hindi bonus ang nagawan natin ng paraan, kasama pa cash gift,” Domagoso said.
The Mayor acknowledged the difficulty of sourcing funds for the bonuses but noted that it became possible through strict spending discipline enforced by department heads and the consistent delivery of quality service by personnel assisting taxpayers and visitors at City Hall.
Domagoso also reminded residents of the ongoing General Tax Amnesty under Ordinance No. 9118, valid until December 31, 2025.
He encouraged early payment of the 2026 Real Property Tax, which comes with a 20% discount for payments made before December 10. Payments from December 11 to 29 receive a 15% discount, while those made from December 30, 2025 to January 31, 2026 are entitled to a 10% discount.
