MUHLACH SIBLINGS MAKE THEIR MARK IN SHOWBIZ, INDEPENDENT OF FAMOUS PARENTS

Siblings Andres and Atasha Muhlach are proving that they can carve their own names in the entertainment industry, stepping out of the shadow of their celebrity parents, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales.

On June 24, Studio VIVA held the official media conference for Bad Genius: The Series, the much-anticipated Philippine adaptation of the 2017 Thai hit film, set to stream this July on VIVA One.

The series marks Atasha’s first lead acting role, playing the central character, Lin.

“I cried happy tears. This is my first, so I’m truly honored. Acting is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid—and now that it’s finally happening, I don’t want to waste a single moment,” Atasha shared during the press event.

Before landing her breakout role, Atasha was first introduced to audiences as a co-host on the iconic noontime show E.A.T… Bulaga! in 2023.

Meanwhile, her twin brother Andres has also been making waves following the success of Ang Mutya ng Section E, which aired on VIVA One and is currently enjoying a free TV run on TV5.

His popularity surged after being paired with singer-actress Ashtine Olviga, forming the 2025 breakout loveteam AshDres, which quickly gained traction on social media.

The rising stars were recently awarded Most Promising Male and Female Star of the Year at the 53rd Box Office Entertainment Awards for their performances in the family sitcom Da Pers Family, which also features their real-life parents.

With their talents and growing fanbase, both Andres and Atasha are expected to soar even higher in their respective careers this year.
