PANGILINAN FAMILY GAS STATION OFFERS DIESEL DISCOUNT AMID PRICE SURGE

Entrepreneur Anthony Pangilinan, father of actor Donny Pangilinan, announced Monday that their family-owned gasoline station will implement a diesel discount to help motorists cope with rising fuel costs driven by Middle East tensions.

In a social media post, Anthony explained that the decision was motivated by concern for both their business and the surrounding community.

He shared that his son and business partner suggested the discount, which he admitted “didn’t make sense ‘numbers wise’ but was 100% in sync with our mission: support those who need it most in the community.”

“Starting tomorrow, March 17, we are reducing our prices for diesel products in our station in South Forbes and are absorbing part of the rising costs for the members of our community. The actual amounts are posted on site,” Anthony said.

He added that the discount will continue “for as long as we are able.”

The announcement comes as the Department of Energy warned that diesel prices could reach as high as ₱114 per liter this week, although oil firms have agreed to stagger increases over several days to soften the impact on consumers.
