Concert and TV director Paolo Valenciano has spoken up about the major delay that disrupted the JBL Sound Fest held in Pasig on Saturday, December 6.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, December 7, Paolo issued an apology to everyone affected by the incident.
“I sincerely apologize to our client JBL and to my brothers from Cup of Joe (who had to be picked up by motorcycles in traffic jams just to make their new call time),” Paolo said.
He added that the situation was especially challenging since it was his first year working with the event.
“This was my first year with JBL Sound Fest so I found this incredibly frustrating. We learn new things every day and I know I still have a lot to improve!! To everyone who was there, super sorry.”
Toward the end of his post, Paolo left a pointed message addressed to singer-songwriter Rico Blanco.
“And to Rico, my hero, while I sincerely wish you the best, I’ve learned that we’re simply not meant to work together again,” he wrote.
Rico Blanco has yet to release a statement on the issue.
