The Philippine National Police (PNP) will station personnel in public schools across Metro Manila to ensure the safety of students, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced Monday, April 6.
“Lahat ng mga eskwelahan sa Metro Manila, lahat ng public schools ay magkakaroon ng police presence during school hours,” Remulla said in a press briefing. “We will make the students feel safe, we will make the parents feel safe.”
Remulla also urged the public to call hotline 911 if they notice the absence of police officers in their schools, assuring that authorities will immediately respond and deploy personnel.
The initiative is part of heightened security measures to protect students and reassure parents amid concerns over safety in learning environments.
