RABIN ANGELES FACES ALLEGATIONS; MANAGEMENT SILENT AMID CONTROVERSY

Rabin Angeles, the breakout star who plays Yuri in the youth-centric series Ang Mutya ng Section E, is currently embroiled in controversy following a viral exposé posted on TikTok by content creator Laimer Matsumoto.I

In the since-deleted video, Matsumoto alleged that Angeles and his then-girlfriend engaged in inappropriate behavior during a private drinking session at the actor’s home last year—an incident Matsumoto claimed he only recently learned about.

The video quickly gained traction online before it was taken down. Matsumoto later issued a public apology, attributing the post to an emotional outburst and expressing remorse for dragging others into the matter.

However, the deletion sparked fresh questions: was the video removed voluntarily, or was there outside influence aimed at damage control for the young actor’s budding career?

Adding to the intrigue is the continued silence of VIVA Artists Agency, which manages Angeles. As of this writing, the agency has not released any official statement regarding the allegations or addressed growing calls for accountability.

The situation has fueled broader conversations online about transparency and the role of talent managers in addressing controversies surrounding their artists.
