REGINE VELASQUEZ TO EASE INTO RETIREMENT WITH GRAND 40TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez, announced plans to gradually step into retirement, marking her 40th year in the music industry with a grand concert this October.

In an interview with Billboard Philippines, which recently named her Woman of the Year, Velasquez shared that while she still has projects lined up for next year, she is preparing for a slower pace.

“I still have mga projects next year and then eventually I retire. Simple lang,” she said.

Velasquez clarified that retirement does not mean leaving music entirely, but stepping away from the pressures of constant performance.

“Retirement means naman not really stopping altogether. It means doing whatever it is that you wanna do… You just have to free yourself of the pressure,” she explained.

Her October concert will serve as both a farewell and a celebration of her legacy. Prior to that, she will perform at ABS-CBN’s ASAP in Australia on July 25, continuing to connect with fans ahead of her transition.
