SM Prime Holdings is investing over ₱300 million to construct a pedestrian walkway linking the LRT-2 Antipolo station directly to SM City Masinag in Antipolo.
The property developer announced that construction will begin in the second quarter of 2026, with the covered walkway expected to be operational six months later.
SM Prime is also building a busway concourse at SM Megamall, modeled after the SM North EDSA Busway Concourse that opened in March 2025. Work on the Megamall facility is already underway and is slated for completion by the first quarter of 2026.
“Urban mobility is central to national development,” said SM Prime president Jeffrey Lim, underscoring the company’s push to integrate its malls with public transport systems.
Despite a setback in the fourth quarter of 2025, SM Prime earlier confirmed plans to open four new malls in 2026.
The company also intends to launch a new convention venue in Cebu by late 2026.
