Star Magic, the talent agency of ABS-CBN Corporation, issued a statement condemning what appeared to be a “death threat” directed at Kapamilya host and actress Kim Chiu by a social media user.
“Star Magic does not tolerate threats, derogatory remarks and other personal attacks made online against our talents,” the agency said, emphasizing that such behavior carries legal consequences.
“These acts have serious and damaging consequences and we will take legal actions, if necessary.”
The Instagram account behind the threatening message has since been deactivated.
