The story conference for the upcoming Kapatid primetime television series “The Kingdom: Magkabilang Mundo” was officially held today, January 8 (Thursday).
The series is a spin-off of the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2nd Best Picture winner “The Kingdom,” which starred noontime show host, eight-time Box-Office King, and MMFF legend Vic Sotto, alongside Manila’s Finest star Piolo Pascual.

Held at APT Studios, the story conference was attended by Piolo Pascual and Cristine Reyes, who are set to reprise their roles as Sulo and Dayang Matimyas, respectively. Another key character in the spin-off, Sue Ramirez, who will portray Lakambini Lualhati Nandula, was unable to attend the meeting.
Joining Pascual, Reyes, and Ramirez in the series are Ryza Cenon and Derek Ramsay, marking their return to TV5 after several years. Also part of the cast are Zion Cruz, Ruby Ruiz, Art Acuña, and character actor Atty. Nico Antonio, who recently passed the latest bar examination.

The series will once again be directed by Mike Tuviera, the 2024 MMFF Best Director awardee and the same director behind the film version of The Kingdom.
The television spin-off is expected to explore the story of the Kingdom of Kalayaan following the death of Lakan Makisig Nandula (played by Sotto), and how Lakambini Lualhati (played by Ramirez) and Sulo (played by Pascual) face the challenges threatening the kingdom—particularly the looming revenge of Dayang Matimyas (played by Reyes).

Produced by APT Entertainment, MQuest Ventures, and Cignal Entertainment, “The Kingdom: Magkabilang Mundo” is set to air as part of TV5’s primetime lineup later this year.
