TV5 appears ready to reassert itself in the competitive primetime landscape following the departure of its former main content provider, ABS-CBN Studios, from its primetime block.
The Kapatid Network has seemingly confirmed that its upcoming teleseryes, A Secret in Prague and My Bespren Emman, will be among the first wave of new original programs under its refreshed lineup.
A Secret in Prague is a romantic-comedy series and a co-production venture between MQuest Ventures and Slingshot Studios. The series marks the first television project on TV5 for actors Enrique Gil and Andrea Brillantes.
Meanwhile, My Bespren Emman takes on an inspirational tone and is produced by MQuest Ventures. The series stars JM de Guzman, Shaina Magdayao, Sid Lucero, and Ai-Ai delas Alas. It is expected to explore themes centered on deepening faith and trust in the Lord.
Apart from these projects, TV5 and MQuest Ventures are also preparing The Kingdom: Magkabilang Mundo, inspired by the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival award-winning hit The Kingdom. Another anticipated project is The Good Doctor, a local adaptation of the popular South Korean drama.
With these new offerings, TV5 signals its intent to once again compete strongly in the primetime battle.
