TV5 continued its impressive performance throughout 2024, solidifying its position as one of the country’s top television networks.
According to data from the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), TV5 recorded an average people rating of 1.9% for the year.
While still trailing behind long-time leader GMA-7, which posted a 5.1% rating, TV5 outperformed several competitors, including GMA’s sister channel GTV (1.2%).
TV5 also maintained a strong lead over ABS-CBN-affiliated channels such as A2Z (0.7%), Kapamilya Channel (0.3%), and ALLTV, which recorded no measurable ratings (0.0%).
Contributing to this strong performance is TV5’s diverse and engaging programming. Among its top-rating shows in 2024 were EAT… Bulaga!, Frontline Pilipinas, Frontline Express, Kapatid Mo Idol Raffy Tulfo, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Pamilya Sagrado, Lavender Fields, Can’t Buy Me Love, Rainbow Rumble, Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa, and Frontline Pilipinas Weekend.
The network’s growth was further bolstered by the successful official launch of its sister channel, RPTV, on March 4, 2024, which expanded TV5’s reach and audience base.
Looking ahead to 2025, TV5 is set to enhance the viewing experience of Filipino audiences with a slate of exciting new shows. These include Masked Singer Pilipinas, Emojination Season 5, Sing Galing, Totoy Bato, and Ang Mutya ng Section E—programs aimed at offering fun, entertainment, and inspiration for viewers of all ages.
TV5 continues to deliver high-quality programming, reinforcing its commitment to being a reliable source of entertainment for the Filipino people.
