MANILA — A week after wrapping up its comprehensive coverage of the 2025 midterm elections, TV5 is set to implement significant changes in its primetime programming, beginning Sunday, May 19.
The Kapatid Network is launching a new primetime block dubbed Primetime Primera, which will highlight TV5’s lineup of original shows and locally produced content.
The move marks a strategic shift as the network strengthens its identity while continuing its collaboration with content partners.
Kicking off the revamped evening schedule is journalist Jiggy Manicad’s early evening newscast Una Sa Lahat at 5:30 PM, delivering breaking stories and key national developments. It will lead into Frontline Pilipinas, the network’s flagship newscast, airing at its new 6:00 PM slot.

Following the news, viewers can catch the much-anticipated free TV premiere of the hit digital series Ang Mutya ng Section E at 6:45 PM.
The romantic drama, headlined by breakout stars Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga, has already captured the hearts of digital audiences and is expected to widen its reach on television.
At 7:15 PM, the action continues with Totoy Bato, offering high-octane drama for Filipino viewers.
Meanwhile, TV5’s existing Todomax Primetime Singko block will now be dedicated exclusively to ABS-CBN Studios content, one of the network’s key program providers.
This block will feature Kapamilya favorites such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Incognito, Saving Grace, and Happiness, as well as Frontline Tonight and the re-airing of TV5’s teleserye Glamorosa.
With the dual primetime strategy, TV5 aims to cater to a diverse audience by balancing its homegrown productions with top-performing Kapamilya offerings — positioning itself as a dynamic player in the evolving Philippine television landscape.
