TV5 is strengthening its 2026 primetime lineup with the launch of A Secret in Prague, an original romance thriller starring Enrique Gil and Andrea Brillantes. The series is among the flagship programs the Kapatid Network is positioning to capture audiences this year.
Set against the historic backdrop of Prague in the Czech Republic, the drama follows Mikoy, an ordinary Filipino man working abroad, and Chiara, the daughter of a mafia boss.
Their unexpected encounter sparks a connection that forces Mikoy to choose between protecting his family or following his heart.
The project is notable as one of the rare Filipino productions filmed extensively overseas. The cast has already begun shooting in Prague, with Andrea sharing her excitement about filming outside the Philippines for the first time.
She recalled, “It was one of the best chocolates I have ever tasted,” while joking about the hotel’s medieval theme.
Enrique reflected on the long journey of the project, noting that it has been in development for years and carries a mix of emotions as it finally comes to life.
Supporting cast members Kim Domingo and Cedrick Juan will portray special agents, adding intrigue and depth to the narrative.
Produced in collaboration with Slingshot Studios and MQuest Ventures, A Secret in Prague underscores TV5’s commitment to delivering high-quality storytelling and compelling local dramas to Filipino viewers.
Broadcast details are yet to be announced, but the series is expected to be one of the standout titles in TV5’s upcoming slate for 2026.
