VIBE SETS FEBRUARY ABLAZE WITH P-POP, OPM, AND A SOLD-OUT CROWD

VIBE kicked off Love Month in explosive fashion as last Sunday’s episode delivered a full-on celebration of P-POP, OPM, and fan energy—packing the Meralco Theater to the rafters and setting the tone for February.

The night opened with a high-energy production by the Vibe Jocks and Gen Vs, featuring viral OPM TikTok hits that have shaken the music scene, including “Walang Alam,” “Reyna Ng Quezon City,” and “Ale.”

The opening number was elevated by special appearances from social media influencers Ice Neo, KIMSHYMOVES, Yanyan De Jesus, and Maine Glorioso, alongside the comeback of Vibe Jock Elijah.

VIBE’s signature segments followed, starting with The Bloomfields performing the iconic sitcom theme “Iskul Bukol.” The band shared why “Ale” continues to resonate with audiences, calling it a perfect fit for 2026.

The show also officially announced the winner of Spotify Tatak Pinoy LIVE, with Rob Deniel’s “Ikaw Sana” set to be performed on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

Rising star Andi Chang dominated the UPRISING segment as “Natotorpe” earned 16.57%, marking a new record of 11 consecutive weeks on top.

Asked about his winning streak, Andi quipped, “Siguro po, maging marupok po. Slight lang.”

OG excellence took center stage as Asia’s Crystal Voice Sheryn Regis performed her classics “Kailan Kaya” and “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka.” She shared her “Kailan Kaya” moment—watching her own mall shows—and revealed plans for an upcoming USA tour.

The MAIN VIBE P-POP showdown ignited the stage with powerhouse performances. Rookie group 6ENSE landed fourth with their debut “Amin Amin.”

Leader WIJI shared insights on the track’s creative process, noting, “Since nahabaan na kami dun sa song, so nagdecide na lang naming… sige, cut-off na lang naming.”

He also announced their latest comeback “BUWAN,” released in celebration of the group’s first anniversary.

VXON claimed the third spot with “Sh*t Sobrang Init,” as members teased their new release “Pasakayle” and announced a major concert, “KALAWAKAN,” set for February 28 at the SM North Skydome.

Taking the top spot was G22 with “LAKUMPAKE!” delivering an unbothered, empowering performance that underscored the group’s commitment to music for women empowerment.

Closing the night were OPM legends Hagibis, performing “Katawan” and “Legs.”

Members Pete and Carlos shared that respect, discipline, and staying fit are key to their longevity, adding that any plans for new members would be announced on their social media pages.

With a blend of the hottest new acts, timeless OPM, and a roaring crowd, VIBE proved once again why it’s the heartbeat of Filipino music culture.
