WILLIE REVILLAME FACES FRESH BACKLASH AHEAD OF “WILYONARYO” LAUNCH

Controversial TV host-comedian Willie Revillame is once again drawing criticism following viral clips from the dry run of his upcoming primetime game show “Wilyonaryo.”

Netizens took issue with Revillame’s alleged on-air “sermons,” including scolding a cameraman and calling out the show’s musical director, as well as remarks perceived as threats to dismiss staff members over what he described as poor performance.

Critics said the incidents suggest the host has not learned from past controversies and has become more arrogant despite earlier backlash.

The latest criticism echoes last year’s controversy during the early run of his now-defunct pre-primetime show “Wil To Win,” where Revillame was similarly criticized for reprimanding staff on air.

As of this writing, Revillame has yet to issue a statement addressing the renewed backlash.

“Wilyonaryo” is set to premiere on January 26, a day before Revillame’s 66th birthday, airing on WilTV—his own cable channel under Cignal—and on TV5.
