Anime Idol Convention (AICON) is officially returning in 2026, bringing back one of the country’s most dedicated gatherings for anime idol fans, cosplayers, and performers. The event is scheduled for January 17, 2026, as a one-day convention at the Bayanihan Center, Pasig City, marking the latest chapter of AICON following its comeback edition in 2024
Organized by Pygmalia Creative Team, AICON was first launched in 2019 to address the growing demand for an idol-focused anime convention in the Philippines. From its pioneering debut that gathered over 300 idol enthusiasts, the event has steadily grown into a niche but passionate platform celebrating anime idol performance, fandom, and community-building
A Return to Its Roots with Bigger Ambitions
AICON 2026 will take place at Hall A & B of the Bayanihan Center, running from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with ingress beginning as early as 7:30 AM. The event’s central theme for 2026 is “Magic” and “Progress,” symbolizing both the enduring passion of idol fandom and the convention’s continued growth within the local otaku scene
According to organizers, this year’s edition aims to welcome around 400 idol fans across Metro Manila, expanding on previous attendance while maintaining the intimate and community-driven atmosphere AICON is known for.
Performances, Competitions, and Interactive Activities
AICON 2026 will feature a full-day program packed with stage performances, competitions, artist and exhibitor alleys, mini-games, and fan engagement activities. Among the major highlights are its signature competitions:

A Growing Space for Idol Otaku Culture
