Following a warmly received debut in 2023, acclaimed Japanese singer-songwriter Ito Kashitaro is set to make a much-anticipated return to the Philippines this June. This time, fans can expect more performances, new collaborations, and appearances in multiple cities across the country.
Known for his unique stage persona as a masked performer, Kashitaro will be gracing stages from June 21 to 25, with stops in Makati, Manila, Los Baños, and Baguio. The tour kicks off with a headline performance on June 21 at the main stage of Fête de la Musique PH 2025, held at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati. The event is free and open to the public, with pre-registration encouraged via the official website www.feteph.com.
Kashitaro’s music is familiar to anime fans, having contributed to a number of notable soundtracks. These include “Vita Philosophica” and “Tsukikage Okuri” from Netflix’s My Happy Marriage, “Kioku no Hakobune” from Deca-Dence, “Shinjuiro no Kakumei” from Deep Insanity: The Lost Child, and “Silent Minority”, the opening theme of Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs. He also performed fan-favorites like “Hinata no Kuni”, “Neko Neko Biyori”, and “Aisazu ni wa Irarenai” from Nights with a Cat.
A key highlight of this Philippine tour will be a collaborative performance with OG Sacred, a Filipino rapper, and Tondo Tribe, a collective known for its grassroots influence in Manila’s hip-hop scene. Ito Kashitaro is also scheduled to visit academic venues, including a special performance at the Philippine High School for the Arts in Los Baños, Laguna, as well as selected universities.
