‘SENTENCED TO BE A HERO’ FILIPINO DUB NOW STREAMING ON ANI-ONE PH ULTRA

PHILIPPINES — Filipino fans of dark-fantasy anime can now watch “Sentence to Be a Hero” (Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004) in their native language, with Filipino-dubbed episodes now available on Ani-One PH Ultra, the subscription tier of Ani-One Philippines’ streaming service.

The move brings one of 2026’s standout series to local audiences in both subbed and dubbed formats. “Sentence to Be a Hero,” which premiered in January 2026, has quickly gained popularity for its dystopian story. The series follows Xylo Forbartz, a former knight commander sentenced to endless combat as part of Penal Hero Unit 9004 a group of heroes punished for their service in a world under siege by monstrous forces.

Ani-One PH Ultra Adds Filipino Dub

According to Ani-One Philippines, the series is part of its 2026 simulcast anime lineup under the #ULTRAEarlyBird category, granting early access for paid subscribers. Episodes are available for streaming shortly after their original Japan broadcast via a dedicated playlist on the Ani-One Ultra channel.

While full episode and dubbing schedules have yet to be released, the addition of a Filipino dub is part of Ani-One PH Ultra’s ongoing effort to localize popular anime for Filipino viewers. Previous initiatives have included early access and exclusive streams of other hit titles in both subtitled and dubbed versions.

Broader Accessibility for Anime Fans

“Sentence to Be a Hero” is simulcast internationally, including on platforms like Crunchyroll, with new episodes released weekly since its January 3 premiere. In Southeast Asia, Medialink manages regional streaming through Ani-One Asia’s YouTube Ultra channel and related services.
