The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and Cignal TV, Inc. have officially extended their partnership for another five years, aiming to bring international-caliber coverage to the country’s premier collegiate league.
The new deal was signed in the presence of MediaQuest and Cignal TV President and CEO Jane Basas, and UAAP Season 88 Chairman Rev. Fr. Richard Ang.
According to Basas, the renewed collaboration will further elevate the standard of UAAP sports coverage, ensuring that fans enjoy top-tier broadcasts of their favorite collegiate events.
UAAP Chairman Fr. Ang emphasized that beyond technical excellence, the partnership also aims to foster sportsmanship—especially in basketball and volleyball, the league’s flagship sports.
UAAP Season 88, themed “Strength in Motion, Hope in Action,” is set to kick off this September, with the University of Santo Tomas taking on hosting duties.
