ABS-CBN Corporation has issued a statement addressing circulating reports about its supposed negotiations with Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), operator of free-to-air station AllTV, following claims that TV5 had sent a “termination letter” to the Kapamilya network over alleged unpaid “financial obligations.”
The media company immediately clarified that its partnership with AMBS remains active and uninterrupted.
“ABS-CBN has an existing content supply partnership with ALLTV which commenced on May 13, 2024. This partnership remains in effect,” the Lopez-owned network said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
AllTV, owned by the family of former Senate President Manny Villar, currently operates the TV frequencies previously used by ABS-CBN before the House of Representatives denied the network a franchise renewal during the Duterte administration.
