“What was once impossible will now become possible?”
This question now fuels speculation after Kapamilya Online World (KOW) and Solid Kapuso Latest Updates (SKLU)—two of the leading fan pages of ABS-CBN and GMA Network—announced an upcoming “collaboration” between ABS-CBN News and GMA Integrated News, two of the country’s top news organizations.
As of now, no details have been released regarding the nature or scope of the collaboration.

The confirmation from both fan pages follows the statement from TV5 Network Inc., which verified that it has sent a termination letter to ABS-CBN. The letter formally ends its contract allowing Kapamilya shows to air on TV5, and orders ABS-CBN to settle its alleged ₱946 million outstanding dues.
This development comes at a time when ABS-CBN and GMA have already built a history of unprecedented collaborations. Their first major partnership was the 2023 primetime series “Unbreak My Heart.” This was followed by “It’s Showtime,” which initially aired on GTV before eventually landing on GMA-7’s main channel.
The networks also partnered for the first two seasons of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab” and in the co-production of the film “Hello Love Again,” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards—a movie now recognized as the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
As fans await official announcements, many are now wondering just how far this new ABS-CBN News x GMA Integrated News collaboration will go—and what it could mean for the future of Philippine media.
