AM RADIO RACE TIGHTENS IN MEGA MANILA

The competition in AM radio is heating up following the release of the latest ratings data from AGB Nielsen Philippines, showing a closer battle among leading stations in Mega Manila.

Based on the November 2025 radio survey conducted among Mega Manila residents, “DZBB”, the AM radio station of GMA Network, remains firmly on top with a 32.8% audience share, retaining its position as the number one AM station in the market.

Climbing back to second place is “DZMM”, the AM radio station jointly operated by ABS-CBN Corporation and Prime Media Holdings, which posted a 24.1% audience share—a significant rebound that places it ahead of its closest competitors.

Trailing closely behind is “DZRH” with a 20.5% audience share, followed by “DWWW” at fourth place with 11.7%, while “DWXI” rounds out the Top 5 with 5.9%.

Industry observers note that the renewed momentum of “DZMM” follows the revival of its iconic brand in July, two years after operating under the “DWPM” name on 630kHz in the AM band.

The return of the DZMM branding appears to have strengthened listener recall and audience loyalty, contributing to its improved performance.

With the gap between the top three stations narrowing, the AM radio landscape in Mega Manila is shaping up to be more competitive than ever.
