“BATANG QUIAPO” HITS FIRST DOUBLE-DIGIT RATING ON ALLTV

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo continues to reach new heights in its new television home, registering its strongest performance yet following its move to ALLTV.

The January 27 episode saw tensions rise further between the Montenegro and Guerrero families, while residents of the show’s fictional Manila staged a massive rally calling for the Guerreros to step down and turn over leadership to Tanggol, portrayed by Coco Martin.

The episode also highlighted a quieter but emotional subplot, as Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) urged her youngest son Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) to reconcile with his older brother.

Despite the absence of major action scenes, viewers closely followed the story’s progression, pushing the series to become the most-watched program in the 8:00 p.m. time slot on free TV, based on National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) data.

That night, Batang Quiapo recorded a 10% rating—its first-ever double-digit figure and its highest since transferring from TV5 to ALLTV on January 2.

A2Z accounted for the largest share with 4.5%, followed by ALLTV at 3.5% and the Kapamilya Channel’s pay TV feed at 2.0%.

The program outperformed rival shows, including GMA-7’s Sang’gre and TV5’s Totoy Bato. Online, Kapamilya Online Live also logged a peak concurrent viewership of 634,000.

In recent weeks, Batang Quiapo has consistently dominated its time slot, including a previous high of 9.6%, further cementing its strong audience following across multiple platforms.
